Leonard J. Herczeg, AIA Architects was founded in 1990.
The practice includes the design of residential and commercial buildings. Projects undertaken include new construction, renovation, enlargement, historic preservation and adaptive reuse of commercial, mixed use buildings, townhouses and loft buildings throughout New York City.
The firm offers a broad range of architectural services covering all stages of design and construction, from conceptual planning and design development to the production of construction documents and project supervision.
The firm also provides consulting services to clients, including fellow architectural professionals, in the areas of Building Code and Zoning analysis, and processing of applications with municipal agencies including the Department of Buildings, City Planning Commission and the Landmarks Preservation Commission. The firmís services include preparation of all pertinent applications and documents for Co-op and Condominium offerings.
Additionally, the firm performs pre-purchase inspections of many types of properties including townhouses, lofts, commercial buildings and apartments. We are also frequently called upon to provide expert architectural advice and testimony in legal proceedings.
Leonard Herczeg has taught at area architecture and design schools including Parsons School of Design, New York City College of Technology (CUNY) and the Learning Annex.
Leonard Herczeg attended Cornell University College of Architecture, Art and Planning, graduating in 1977. He has been licensed and registered in New York State since 1981 and holds a certificate from the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards. He is a member of the American Institute of Architects.
